I have always been interested in food. I began cooking when I was a teenager, and loved cooking for others and trying new recipes. After attending college for a few years I dropped out and began working and was preparing to attend the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Around that time I decided it cost to much to attend that school, and I should finish my college degree. I returned to the university of Wyoming and earned a bachelors degree, and have left cooking as a hobby for now. I still enjoy a good dinner party.
As I have traveled over the state of Wyoming and around the country I have always enjoyed eating out. I love trying new foods, and atmospheres. I also have somewhat enjoyed writing. I decided to combine the two in 2006, and began writing reviews of local Laramie restaurants. I took most of 2007 off from writing reviews so I could work on a book I was writing for my family. I finished it just in time for Christmas, and have begun writing reviews again.
One of my favorite foods is Steak, and unfortunately I haven’t found a great steakhouse in Laramie yet and don’t have the money to start one, so I travel to try great steaks. My current favorite steakhouses are the Chicago Chophouse in Chicago, and Boa in Las Vegas.
